The British Veterinary Dental Association is proud to present the Talking Teeth (virtual) Tour 2026. Bringing you live veterinary dentistry CPD every month through 2026 to help make dentistry easier in general practice.
Join us this evening for a live discussion with Cassandra Houghton who will talk about Nurse Led Dentistry: A day in the life of a dental RVN.
Are you a nurse who wants to develop your experience in small animal dentistry? Are you a vet who would love to delegate to your nurse?
From admit to discharge, Cas will discuss a typical day of nurse led dentistry. There will be an overview of cases which demonstrate nurse utilisation and autonomy, and the power of a synergistic relationship between vets and nurses.
Attendees will gain insight into the different dentistry related procedures RVNs can perform under veterinary direction, practising within the scope of their knowledge, skills and experience.
The Talking Teeth (virtual) Tour evening meetings can be purchased individually, or are available free to all BVDA members (membership starts at just £40 a year and is free for vet students).

Cassandra Houghton
Cas is a Registered Veterinary Nurse from the UK. She graduated from Askham Bryan College, York, in 2012, later pursuing certificates in dentistry and surgical nursing with Improve International/ISVPS. She has been at Abbey House Veterinary Hospital in Leeds, UK, since 2022, and has been instrumental in coordinating dental staging and nurse led dental procedures. She is always pushing for better dentistry and patient care, and is the to go-to person for educating and supporting owners on tricky or emotive cases.
Cas is a Subject Matter Expert with the Linnaeus Clinical Board, and is a British Veterinary Dental Association (BVDA) Committee member.
In 2026 she became a mentee on the Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) mentorship programme with the Academy of Veterinary Dental Technicians. She is happy to host visitors to Abbey House, and always on the look out to visit other practices to see cases.
